AZ Alkmaar made it two wins from their opening two games of the 2023-2024 Eredivisie campaign on Sunday as they beat Waalwijk 3-1 at Mandemakers Stadion.

This followed a 2-0 victory at Santa Coloma on August 17 that saw Pascal Jansen’s side secure a 3-0 aggregate victory over the Andorran outfit in the third qualifying round of the Conference.
AZ have now won their last seven games in all competitions, dating back to a 1-1 draw against Norwich City when the teams met in pre-season.
Meanwhile, Brann secured back-to-back wins in the Norwegian Eliteserien this weekend when they beat Aalesunds 5-1 at home.
Before that, Eirik Horneland’s men beat HamKam 2-0 on August 6 to end their two-game losing streak in the Eliteserien.
