Leeds Vs West Brom – Leeds United moved back to the top of the league table – at least for one night – with a 1-0 comeback win over West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road.

Now it’s time to look at each player and their performance. As always, you can tell me I’m wrong @mightywhitespod or @ThruItAllLUFC on Twitter.
Kiko Casilla – He made a good save at the near post and got off his line in an important opportunity. There is nothing much to do. He managed to concentrate after his investigation into a racist remark that had been made that morning. What follows from this – we can only wait. Good job tonight. He also changed kit at half-time, something that doesn’t happen often. 7/10
Stuart Dallas – continues his good form on the right. Great energy and fitness as always, and he handled the difficult task given to him by Grady Diangan very well – he was only skinned once, which is good for him. 7.5/10
Ben White – A good return from a player who looks like a future England player. The fact that the entire country gasped when he hit the unwanted pass shows how rare it is. He hit important shots and looked calm and confident. He took over after Cooper was injured and took care of that very well. 8/10

Bamford with all the credit and right, but the way White and Costa were good, they were good!! #lufc — Ian Jennings (@IanJenn86685589) October 1, 2019
Liam Cooper – Included in the Scotland squad, but could be a challenge as he was injured in the first half by Welshman Hal Robson-Kanu. It’s a rough game before that. 6.5/10
Beales said Leeds had no diagnosis of Cooper and Shackleton’s injuries, but said if they were to leave the field, they would not be taking it easy. #lufc — (@SportsJourno1_) October 1, 2019
Ezgjans Alioski – his shot went to his own goal, in some places the man from North Macedonia gave it to him, but the shot was too low. Always a lot of effort and getting into good positions in the attack, especially in the first half. An unnecessary slide was booked in the corner and a booking was made after West Brom’s shirt was clearly removed which could easily have resulted in a second yellow card. In the second part, the danger is reduced and it ends very calmly. All in all, the excellent performance that fired Matt Phillips speaks volumes about how Alioski handled him. 7/10

Calvin Phillips – Mateus Pereira was awarded a free kick but made a big improvement against Charlton Athletic on Saturday. He is better in contact and can make more passes without being at his best. 7/10
Jamie Shackleton – In the last two games, he was suspended at half-time and needed a performance. He was taken off again at half time, but this time after a good performance and a nasty injury. He gave Leeds all the energy they needed in midfield and was a source of pressure for West Brom, in addition to making some great runs, usually down the inside right channel. He scored well too, probably should have stayed, but Leeds lost him due to injury. 7/10
No update on Cooper or Shackleton from Bielsa, early. The head coach was disappointed that Shackleton could not continue, so he was satisfied with the performance of the youngster in the first half. #lufc — Graham Smith (@GrahamSmyth) October 1, 2019
Why Allardyce’s Dire Tactics Played Right Into The Hands Of Bielsa’s Leeds
Helder Costa – Like Filip, progressed on Saturday, but still has a long way to go. He linked up well with Dallas and Shackleton on the right and showed a couple of touches on the ball but couldn’t beat his man enough times to pose any real danger. There was a fantastic chance to score for Patrick Bamford where he should have scored. Sam Johnston for a good save. The defense also worked hard in the second half when Leeds made a change. 6.5/10

Mateusz Klihs – was much better in the first half than the second with some good passes. He got into some good shooting positions and forced a good save on Johnston, but not in the best scoring positions. I worked hard in the second half when I was a little bit deeper after Shackleton’s injury. A good day for the international stage of Poland. 7/10
The performance of this team is ridiculous, Klich scored 60 yards in the 92nd minute to close the manager. I am proud of this team, they fought for everything. Couldn’t ask for more. #lufc — _ALAW1919 (@ALAW19191) October 1, 2019
West Brom Vs Leeds Live Result: Bielsa’s Men Run Riot At Hawthowns
Jack Harrison – he “almost helped” to set up Alioski for Bartley’s goal, but the truth is that he only played the match because he ran away from the blind and had to come back. Watching him is an exercise in frustration as he finds himself in good positions before either misplacing the ball or making poor decisions. The best effort is a well-taken shot 10 minutes from the time it is well-scored. However, as usual, he worked hard and his defense was much needed in the second half. Not a bad job, just a waste. 6/10
84 – Harrison dribbles between two men and clears it. 1-0 — Graham Smith (@GrahamSmyth) October 1, 2019
Patrick Bamford – The best linebacker who tackled adversity. What is not good is that he missed a great opportunity at the end of the second half that he should have taken as a striker. Not to be missed: Runs hard, pressed forward well, raised the ball well when thrown to him and got others into the game well. If he has a real performance and points – everyone is calling it his best game in Leeds – without a goal is still a great job. 8.5/10
Gaetano Berardi (for Cooper, 34 mins) – He replaced the captain well and didn’t show the surprise we often associate with him. Nothing flashy, just well protected. 7/10

Thought Berardi was good when he came to #lufc, Cooper will be a big loss in the coming weeks — JLUFCN (@jlufcn) October 1, 2019
Tyler Roberts (Shackleton, HT) – Usually when a player comes on at half-time and is subbed off in the 74th minute, you’d think it was awful. Indeed, Leeds could not have possession of the ball, which forced him to change tactics, but he played well as a number 10 without reaching his best. Marcelo Biles confirmed after the game that he had nothing to do with his job. 6/10
Beals won’t sleep tonight after pulling Roberts, maybe 10 years from now he’ll call him again at midnight to apologize again @TheSquareBall — Lee Scott (@LeeScott321) October 1, 2019
Luke Ayling (for Roberts, 74 mins) – Was not going to score due to lack of time but played well when brought on. Three points, a return from injury and a new four-year contract. Good week for Luke Ayling. N/A
Leeds United Vs. West Bromwich Albion (8/18/23)
Leeds 1-0 West Brom: A good performance. We ended West Brom’s unbeaten run in the Championship. Most of this game is without Pablo, without Forshaw and without Coops. Here’s a man, absolutely great. Three big points. #LUFC — LUFCDATA (@LUFCDATA) October 1, 2019 Albion suffered their worst defeat of the season after being beaten by Leeds at the Hawthorns.
The Baggies went into contention, drawing at Liverpool and seeking their first win under new manager Sam Allardyce.
However, they were dominated by a furious Leeds team who scored three goals in the first nine minutes of the game to secure victory.
Marcelo Beale’s men were gifted an early goal when Romain Sawyer’s cross sent Sam Johnstone over the line to score one of the most spectacular goals you will ever see.

Leeds then scored three goals between the 31st and 40th minutes, with Ezgian Alioski, Jack Harrison and Rodrigo scoring.
