The Giallorossi conceded three goals in the first two games. This is not a very large amount. But when you think about how Roma conceded those goals, it’s a bit annoying. In Roma’s opener, a bad pass by Amadou Diawara allowed Manolo Gabbiadini to open the scoring after Antonio Mirante was hung out to dry.

Then against Milan, another poor pass, this one by Zappacosta, threw Milan. Mirante was able to save Milan’s initial attempt, as well as the rebound. Fonseca is hoping that an Udinese team, with four players from Roma back in October, can help cure the Giallorossi’s attacking woes when they face Napoli on Sunday.

Fonseca came here with a reputation as a manager whose team could score with the best of them. This season we saw a little, but too many times Roma were in control. Unfortunately for the crowd who were hoping for a similar result, Roma overcame Udinese’s storm in the second half to win the match 1-0, a significant departure from their recent points tally.

From the announcement of the line-up until the first 10 minutes of the match, it was clear that Mourinho had ordered to remove the taste of defeat for generations from the Verona game, and the Giallorossi started very much on the foot of ahead and took the game to an end.
