The Millers started the half on a positive note when Harding scored a lovely pass which beat both Hugill and Fossa before Bracklem beat Marquinhos.
Bramall’s free-kick looked deep but Humphreys managed to hook the ball towards goal but Angus Gunn tipped the ball over his crossbar, although the free-kick had already been awarded.
Rotherham had another chance when Fosu broke down the left, but his clipped cross was tipped out of the air by Gunn.
The home side had a chance when Pucci was brought down by Humphreys, Marquinhos’ free-kick was blocked but the ball fell kindly to Canaries captain Andrew Omobamidele, who was set to threaten the visitors’ goal but several Rotherham defenders kept their mark. Seconds later, Norwich pumped the ball into the box and Tolis again looked on target, but despite having the goal at his mercy, he flashed wide.
Taylor’s men endured six minutes of added time and Miller’s faithful, vocal band of followers were on their feet in the second when Lindsay headed straight to Gunn’s appreciation.
