Regardless of Herbert’s talent, I would argue that Garoppolo performed better in the last month of the season. Since Week 5, Garoppolo has averaged 271.5 yards per game and 8.3 yards per game.
Garoppolo is making incredible throws at a rate we haven’t seen during his time with the 49ers, and the 5 percent sack rate he’s posted this season ranks fifth in the NFL behind only Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers. , Geno Smith and Lamar Jackson.
