Bucs Arriving For Week 8 Vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in trouble. When they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, I was shocked; There were concerns when the Carolina Panthers won. Now that they’ve lost in the third round, it’s not an amazing statement. It means trouble. It may seem like a distant memory, but it wasn’t that long ago that Tampa Bay was considered the favorite to win every week. Tom Brady led an offense that featured an explosive attack and a strong running game that could give anyone points. In reality, The only reason this season isn’t over for Tampa is because it’s in the NFC South. Currently the weakest division in the NFL gives the Buccaneers a cushion against a fall from grace. Tampa Bay beat the Ravens on Thursday night, a victory that would have kept them in first place and the one seed in the playoff picture. Tampa’s loss brings more questions.
On any given game day, the Buccaneers have certain expectations from the team and their players. In reality it may be in line with expectations, but it can be very different; Here,
Tampa Bay has had a terrible season so far, and that’s given fans plenty of opportunities to watch the team kick. After a 3-goal deficit, Jake Camarda returns possession to the other team. Whether it’s the Buccaneers’ offense kicking a short field goal or Ryan Succup’s failure to finish a potential drive into the red zone, the 2022 Tampa Bay Bucks feature. A lot of kicks. Those kicks for all involved, along with the team’s rookie quarterback Jake Camarda, who replaced veteran Bradley Pinion, proved to be a solid piece on special teams. Ryan Succop is arguably the team’s most reliable player. On a team full of inconsistent players, Ryan Soukop is the opposite of inconsistent. The Bucs kicker missed just four other kicks in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Ravens Eye View Film Breakdown: Week 8 Vs. Buccaneers
Julio Jones has been out of action this season due to several injuries. Jones missed more games than he played and made a big impact when he was on the field in Week 1, averaging 23 yards per catch. Julio Jones was a huge disappointment. As frustrated as he is with the Ravens, his perception won’t be any different after this game.
Tampa Bay has struggled to run the ball all season except for one week. Leonard Fournette hasn’t had a 100-yard rushing day since the season opener. After tonight, it remains the same. Fournette scored in the first quarter to inject some life into the stadium, but had little involvement in the game after that. The Bucs totaled 44 yards rushing, a yard contributed by the team’s 45-year-old quarterback.
Teams’ first offensive drives are made up of scripted plays, and Tampa has yet to run a script well this season. Tampa Bay had not scored in the first quarter all season until tonight. Tampa’s offense came out and marched down the field with a good run. The offense looks like the old Tom Brady Buccaneer offense. Tampa had a great first quarter as they finished with the most points in an opening quarter this season. Unfortunately for the Bucs, that was the only point they would add in the entire first half.
It’s a classic statistic that doesn’t tell the whole story. The Buccaneers finished with three sacks, but the thorns in Lamar Jackson’s side made noise until Shaq Barrett was injured. The Bucs pass rushers spent the better part of the night chasing Lamar Jackson all over the field.
